A new season of Bankeside sword classes are starting up again!

This is a letter of intent to once again take up arms in the practice, drill and study of the Italian style of Rapier. These classes are open to anyone with a desire to learn to use a sword properly and with skill.

The Bankeside Schoole of Defense is once again resuming classes for those interested in learning the serious art of European martial arts. Our current curriculum includes the Italian sidesword and rapier, Italian longsword, English Broadsword, Quarterstaff and period dagger fighting.

If you are interested in learning to properly use that Rapier you own and carry or, are interested in the possibility of Swordfighting on the streets or stages of Southern Faire or, you just want to learn 16th century style of Rapier fighting, then we invite you to join with us in preparing and perfecting our personal skills and getting ready for next years events.

Classes are generally every Saturday with beginning student classes starting at 12 noon to 2 pm. Suggested donation for the classes are $10 for the two hour lesson.

Sessions will begin on Saturday, June 15th. 2013.

The Bankeside Schoole of Defense has been in existence since 1998 and is dedicated to the serious art of European marital arts with an emphasis on historical and theatrical movements of the period.
